From reactor physics to system architecture

We are very excited to welcome Timothée Kooyman to THORIZON as our reactor architect.

Tim has over 12 years of experience in reactor core design and neutronics simulation for Generation IV systems. He most recently worked at Amentum, and before that served as Technical Director at NAAREA, where he led the design of a molten salt reactor and managed multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists. He started his career at CEA, including a stint as test director on the CABRI experimental reactor, where he was responsible for a complete irradiation project on the facility.

What sets Tim apart is his ability to connect the dots across system design and teams. He brings a unique experience, can do mindset and the best mix between French humor and Dutch directness 😉

Tim, we are super excited to welcome you to the team and look forward to building this together. Please join us in welcoming Tim.
